Historic Downtown Walking Tour | Near Dream Catcher RV Park

Demingʼs self-guided Historic Landmark Walking Tour begins at the Deming Luna Mimbres Museum and covers 16 historic buildings within roughly four downtown blocks. Four of the highlighted buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places, and interpretive plaques explain the cityʼs railroad, commercial, and civic history. Notable stops include the 1916 National Guard Armory that houses the museum, the circa-1889 Customs House, early hotels and commercial buildings, and Luna County Courthouse Park. Maps are available through the Deming Visitor Center at 800 E Pine St. or from Deming MainStreet. Leave a large rig at the campground. Downtown blocks are walkable, but street parking and turns are better suited to a passenger vehicle.
